The WWF is an international charity which was founded in 1961 to conserve the planet, habitats, and species, amongst those species is the emperor penguin which appears on our logo. The emperor penguin face’s threats from the loss of sea ice, increased snow, and loss of prey.
In order to support the WWF’s efforts to help these beloved animals, we are pledging to adopt a new emperor penguin each time the company receives a new client, via the WWF website. The adoption will help to improve the management of Antarctica’s resources and safeguard its wildlife. The new client will also receive:
• A soft plush version of the adopted penguin
• 5″ x 7″ formal adoption certificate
• 5″ x 7″ full-colour photo of your penguin
• Species spotlight card, full of fascinating information about the animal
One of our core values here at Penguin Refrigerated is that we care about our communities and the environment, therefore we make a conscious effort to be environmentally responsible. For instance, by using recyclable materials and the establishment of our penguin adoption scheme.
We have also recently begun to focus on eco driving, by tracking all of our vehicles, in order to cut down on fuel consumption and reduce our carbon emissions. Through reducing our carbon footprint we can also further help the penguins, since carbon emissions contribute to the melting of their habitat.
